CS Gilbert Kiprono
CS Gilbert Kiprono is an economist with experience in trade development and promotion, governance research, and policy having worked in both public and private sectors. Currently, he is the Director of Strategy, Research, and Capacity Development at the Institute of Certified Secretaries. He is also an adjunct Lecturer at the University of Kabianga School of Business and Economics. Previously he has held several other positions including; Manager, Research & Business Development at ICS, Assistant Manager Trade Policy & Research at the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as Research Officer at Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency.
He served as a member of the task force that developed the Kenya Investment Policy, and National Export Development Strategy where he Chaired the Energy Sector Working Group, National Trade Negotiation Council, and World Chambers Congress. In addition, he has served as a board member and chairman for 6 years. He is a Certified Secretary, trained and certified in enterprise and industrial development (Japan), Certified Professional Mediator (MTI), Certified Trainer of Trainers (CSIA), Senior Management Course (KSG), and Strategic Leadership Development Program (KSG). He is a member of the Institute of Certified Secretaries, the Economists Society of Kenya (ESK), and the Institute of Directors (IOD).
Gilbert holds an MA (Economics) and, BA (Economics and Mathematics) from the University of Nairobi and is currently pursuing PhD in the same university.
